My journey into driving instruction started with my wife. When we first met, she told me she didn’t know how to drive, and I promised to support her through the learning process.

As I helped her, I discovered how much I enjoyed explaining things, offering encouragement and watching her confidence grow. She suggested turning that passion into a career, inspiring me to help other learners in the same way.

I began teaching as a trainee driving instructor in June 2025 and qualified as an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) in May 2026.

Alongside my professional qualifications, I have undertaken neurodiversity training, which has strengthened my understanding of how differently people learn and process information. I use this knowledge to adapt my communication and teaching methods to each pupil.

I believe learning to drive should feel supportive, positive and comfortable. Whether you’re excited to get started, nervous about your first lesson or returning to driving after a break, I’ll take the time to understand your experience, concerns and goals.

My lessons are tailored to you, with clear explanations, manageable steps and plenty of opportunities to ask questions.

Patience, reliability, respect and encouragement are at the heart of my approach. You should never feel embarrassed about making a mistake — it’s a natural part of learning.

Together, we’ll work through challenges, recognise your progress and build your confidence at a pace that feels right for you.

As the sole instructor, I’ll be with you throughout your learning journey. You’ll have the consistency of learning with someone who understands your progress, knows where you need support and celebrates your achievements along the way.

My aim goes beyond helping you pass your driving test. I want you to feel ready for independent driving, with safe habits, sound judgement and skills you can carry with you for life.
